 With the bursary i have bought great books relating to screenwriting and film production from directing actors to writing for film and computer games.  In addition, I have used the money to see films at various venues such as Cornerhouse in Manchester.  

Out of all the Universities I have looked at, the University of Bolton was the only one which had all the things I was interested in - studying about films, script writing and film production.  This was definately the best choice!  After graduation, I would like to pursue my career in the film and theatre industry from screenwriting and directing films to becoming a film and stage actor.

The Skillset bursary has relieved a considerable amount of financial strain allowing me to concentrate more on my writing.  It has also given me a greater opportunity to attend the industry events that are important in shaping my career and showing me ways into the industry.
