The University of Bolton is holding its sixth annual Research & Innovation Conference on Tuesday 26th & Wednesday 27th June 2012 at the Holiday Inn, Bolton Central.
The aim of the conference is to showcase research within the University from a broad range of disciplines. The conference is free to attend and will include both internal and external speakers.
Call For Abstracts
The call for abstracts is now closed
If you have been accepted to present a paper, you will have 20 minutes to present your research plus 10 minutes for questions. If you are using PowerPoint, you will need to bring a memory stick with you. If you intend to use any other software/hardware, please check this with the conference administrator.
If you have been accepted to present a poster, your poster should be no bigger than A1. Please bring your poster along with you at the start of the Conference as they will be on display throughout the 2 days. A prize will be awarded this year to the student who designs the best poster. The best poster will demonstrate good design principles and will present the research in an innovative and attractive way. Some tips and ideas can be accessed at the link below:
The conference programme is still being finalised and will be available shortly.
There will be an evening meal held on Tuesday 26th June from 6.00pm at the Holiday Inn, with after dinner speaker (TBC). The University is able to cover the cost of the meal for up to 40 people. Places will be available on a first come, first served basis. Please indicate on the booking form if you would like to attend. Please note that you will be expected to re-imburse the cost of the meal if you book a place but do not turn up.
