Mr Rob Harvey is our MSc Systems Engineering and Engineering Management graduate and now working in HORIBA MIRA Ltd. He was invited to give a Guest Lecture on 28th March 2019 from 10:00 - 12:00 for our BSc (Hons) Mechatronics Top-Up students, MSc Systems Engineering and Engineering Management students as well as other students in the School of Engineering.
The Topic of the lecture is e-Mobility: EV Architectures and Systems.
The HORIBA Group of worldwide companies provides an extensive array of instruments and systems for applications ranging from automotive R&D, process and environmental monitoring, in-vitro medical diagnostics, semiconductor manufacturing and metrology, to a broad range of scientific R&D and QC measurements.
HORIBA MIRA Ltd is the United Kingdom registered vehicle engineering consultancy and testing services provider.
The business includes testing and development operations, utilising MIRA’s extensive proving ground and the comprehensive test facilities, combined with design and engineering capabilities. Mr Rob Harvey introduced him and his work.
Explained what eMobility is and gave detail on architectures, systems, testing and development of hybrid and electric vehicles.
The legal requirements for hybrid and electric powertrain legislation for off-highway vehicles have been justified. Students asked questions related to the topics and shown extremely interests in the eMobility.
Mr Harvey has also encouraged students to apply for student assistant jobs or student training projects in HORIBA and promised to send information to our students.
