James Kitson

Lecturer - Motorsport Engineering

I attended the University of Bradford as a mature student, to read a degree in Automotive Design Technology after an 8-year career in the Armed Forces.

Prior to starting at the University of Bradford, I worked for MDA GT40 in Devon, who were a manufacturer of replica Ford GT40 racing cars.

After university, I set up the 2nd Fab Lab in the UK and was General Manager until it was bought by Leeds City College and I was asked to join Denford Ltd as a product specialist.

Denford Ltd manufactures CNC machines and is the lead sponsor in two STEM projects, the Formula One in Schools Technology Challenge and the 4x4 in Schools Technology Challenge.

Prior to starting my post at the University of Bolton, I was a UK Sales Manager for TecQuipment Ltd, a supplier of apparatus to universities for teaching engineering theories.
