Katie Noctor

Lecturer - Dental Technology

After graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2007 with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Dental Technology, Katie spent several years in industry, practising in a private implant laboratory. During this time, she gained extensive experience in the design and manufacture of traditional and implant supported fixed prosthodontics.

Having joined the University of Bolton in 2016, she originally took up the role of Technician in Dental Sciences while completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Professional Education and gained Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

In 2017, she became an active member of the teaching team in the Centre for Dental Sciences as Associate Lecturer in Dental Technology.

She later went on to complete an MA in Teaching and Learning in 2021 and take up the role of Lecturer in Dental Technology. Her teaching responsibilities span two programmes and include, Employment Practice, Dental Technology Techniques for Fixed Prosthodontics, Specialised Dental Technology, and Principles of Dental Aesthetics and Occlusion.
