Post-pandemic Social Care Concerns

The pandemic has had a profound effect on the social care sector, the people who work in it and those they provide services to. Whilst they have found many different and innovative ways in which they can continue to offer their vital services to individuals and working under the restrictions put in place to keep everyone safe, the events of the last year have thrown up some areas where there are issues.

As we move forward and many health and social care services start to return to something more like normal, it is important that consideration is given the how these issues are solved and what social care futures might be in store for those who work in the industry.

What Does Social Care Cover?

The health and social care sector covers those organisations that provide any level of healthcare support, this includes dentists, hospitals, specialist support such as physiotherapy and social care support; for example, foster caring, nursing homes and nurseries.
