University of Bolton, why we are the right choice
Location - Bolton, Greater Manchester
The University of Bolton is announcing a generous bursary scheme for Ukrainian nationals fleeing the war in Ukraine and settling in the UK under the government’s ‘Homes for Ukraine’ scheme.
The UK government has recently announced that Ukrainian refugees wishing to study at English universities will be able to take advantage of the same fee status and access to student loans support as domestic students.
To make the life changing opportunity of studying at university even more accessible the University of Bolton is offering 25 bursaries to students starting an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in September 2022.
You will find a very warm welcome waiting for you at Bolton. We are consistently rated highly for the quality of our teaching and our student satisfaction and we are 5th in England for Social Inclusion*. We are a small university which puts its students first and provide a friendly and approachable campus for you to learn and grow.
Whether you have formal qualifications, work experience or if you are part way through your study (subject to our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy), we would love to hear from you. We treat all applicants on their individual merit and as long as you have the talent and potential to succeed at university we may be able to offer you a place.
There are 15 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate bursaries available, worth £3,500 each. The bursary will be a cash payment, and not a fee waiver, and payable in two instalments during the year - (first semester payment and second semester payment) T&Cs apply.
The bursaries are available to full and part-time applicants, but you need to be aiming for a full qualification. Part-time is pro-rata based on number of credits being studied. There are no courses excluded from this bursary.
These bursaries are not means tested and are offered on a first-come-first-served basis, so do not delay in getting your application in.
The University will be offering a complimentary catering service, to those affected by the conflict for a period in the academic year 2022-23. This will consist of a free, hot, nutritious one-course meal to be available three times per week. T&Cs apply.
