Introduction and Background

The University of Bolton are proud of the excellent students that progress from our partners at Bolton College, University Collegiate School (UCS), & Alliance Learning. Therefore, we are delighted to offer The Group Progression Scholarship that will support students on their journey to higher education at the University of Bolton, and increase accessibility to a range of exciting undergraduate courses and career prospects thereafter. These scholarships can be gained simply through progression from the stated partners this 2021/2022 academic year.

Amount

The scholarship is worth up to a maximum of £1,500 in total and is paid via BACs as a £500 instalment in each academic year up to a maximum of three academic years.  The instalments will be paid upon successfully completing the full enrolment process for each individual academic year.

Eligibility

In order to qualify for the Scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

• Students must be commencing a full-time three or four-year undergraduate programme starting September 2021.

• Students must be progressing directly onto a full-time undergraduate course from one of the previously mentioned partner colleges having completed their qualification(s) in academic year 2020/21

• The award is only available for courses based at the University of Bolton. Students studying with off campus partners are not eligible.

• To be eligible for this award you must be paying full tuition fees either through self-funding, Student Finance, third party sponsorship or a combination of these options.

• Students undertaking apprenticeship courses will not be eligible to receive this award.

• Students gaining this scholarship are not eligible to apply for any additional University of Bolton scholarships.

 

Payment of the Scholarship

The Scholarship will be paid in three installments, one in each year of study (up to a maximum of three years or £1500). Payments will be made to a nominated account via BACs. The instalments will be paid upon successfully completing the full enrolment process for each individual academic year

Terms and Conditions

• Payments will be permanently terminated if the student withdraws, transfers to another institution, fails their programme of study, or interrupts or suspends their studies.

• Payments are subject to continuing and satisfactory attendance on the course.

• Payment of the award is entirely at the discretion of the university.
