The University of Bolton is always striving to build upon the strong international community that is already enjoying Bolton life.
To assist future international students, we are proud to announce a number of new International Excellence Scholarships available to full-time self-paying students* joining bachelors, taught masters and research masters study (for January or September 2022).
The maximum level scholarship extends to £5,000 for the duration of 3-year bachelors study and £3,000 for 1 year/18 months masters/PhD study. As a sign of our continued commitment to a globally inclusive campus, all full-time self-paying international students will be eligible to be considered for the Bronze scholarship.
The level of the International Excellence Scholarships is broken down into three bands (Gold, Silver and Bronze) based on the academic ability of the applicant.
*Sponsored students will not be eligible for this scholarship.
*The scholarship entitlement for year 2 and year 3 will be subject to passing all modules in the preceding year
*Final assessment of scholarship eligibility will be made by the international office and are made at the discretion of the University. The relevant amount of scholarship will be deducted at point of payment i.e. you will pay the tuition fee minus the scholarship amount. Sponsored students will not be eligible for this scholarship.
These scholarships shall extend to courses starting in January and September 2022. There is no separate application form requirement. International students will be automatically assessed for these scholarships at the point of application. The deadline for being considered for these scholarships will follow the same admissions deadlines.
If you wish to know the criteria for a country specific qualification, then please get in touch with the International Team via email: international@bolton.ac.uk.
We are pleased to announce a new accommodation scholarship to top-performing international students; academically or those with extra-curricular excellence.
The University of Bolton provides a supportive and positive learning environment and is proud to be offering 50 new international students one year of free accommodation in Orlando Village.*
Successful students will save an amazing £4,500, that would have been paid in rent; this offer starts from September 2021 but is limited to one year of free accommodation per student.
Orlando Village is the only approved and recommended student accommodation provider by the University of Bolton; in a fantastic location, only a 10-minute walk away from both the main university campus and town centre.
The rooms are offered on a self-catering basis with a communal kitchen, WC and washing facility. Orlando Village enjoys a communal social building call ‘The Hub’ which includes a TV, table tennis, pool table and football table ideal for socialising with fellow students.
If you are interested in benefiting from the Provost Accommodation Scholarship and hold a first-class honours degree, please complete the form.

International students are eligible to qualify for the Alumni Scholarship Discount if they have previously studied at the University of Bolton. This entitles the award-holder for a £1,000 fee waiver if they meet our criteria. The award is confirmed for the 2022/23 academic year.
