Location - Bolton, Greater Manchester
Alecea is the Academic Co-Ordinator for Standards, Enhancement and the Learner Experience, and is responsible for ensuring that quality assurance and enhancement enriches student’s experience within the School of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences.
She is a lecturer on the Physician Associate MSc programme. Her qualifications include: BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science and MSc Clinical Chemistry, PgDip Physician Associate Studies, PgCert Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Alecea previously worked in NHS pathology laboratories, within biochemistry before discovering the Physician Associate course. She completed her Physician Associate course in December 2018 and since then has worked in old age psychiatry and in general practice. She is currently employed by a primary care network where she is the Lead Physician Associate, managing a team of PA’s. She has a specialist interest in frailty and dementia.
