Allison Gallacher

Allison graduated from Crew & Alsager Faculty of Manchester Metropoliton University with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science. She went on to study a PGCE in Further, Adult and Higher Education as well as a MSc Sports Management & Organisational Development.

Allison is an experienced academic who started her teaching career at Redcar & Cleveland College as a Lecturer in Sports Science and now has over 20 years teaching experience. She then progressed to both Warrington Collegiate and Widnes College’s delivering both Further and Higher Educational courses, culminating in the role of Programme Leader for Higher National Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science and Lead IQA.

She joined Bolton University in July 2016 as Associate Lecturer in Sports Science and has assumed various roles including progressing to Lecturer in Sport; Sport and Exercise Science Placement Coordinator/Employability Champion; Sport and Exercise Enhanced Personal Tutor; Link Tutor Bury College/Bolton College/Bradford College/Warrington Vale Royal College; Sport and Biomedical Sciences Teaching and Learning/Apprenticeship Champion; Sport and Exercise Science Top-up/Personal Training Admissions Tutor.

Allison has extensive practitioner experience in the field of Health & Fitness and Coaching with both grassroots and elite performers and is now developing her scholarly profile in the field of Nutrition for older athletes.
