University of Bolton ‘coding brothers’ join software specialist business University of Bolton graduates, brothers Matt and Tim Clancy, have both been recruited to a leading software development team.
The brothers from Leigh have been signed up by CoreRFID, an asset management software firm, which counts Ocado amongst its clients.
Matt and Tim, from Leigh, near Wigan, are both due to graduate from the same BEng (Hons) Software Engineering course at the University of Bolton this summer and have now finished their studies.
Matt was initially recruited and he recommended his brother Tim, who also accepted an offer to immediately join the business.
Tim, aged 22, said: “It was a great course at Bolton. We joined on a Foundation Year and we were nervous at first. We both found we really enjoyed every minute of it.
The brothers applied for jobs at the company in March, were interviewed a few weeks later and started working in April.
Tim said: “It is really good. Although a lot of what we do is difficult, we are enjoying every minute. We are really lucky to be doing jobs we want to do and we wake up every day pinching ourselves!”
Matt, aged 27, said: “It’s a great opportunity to be part of a specialist team which helps so many businesses streamline and improve processes.”
CoreRFID’s technical director Munzi Ali said: “Matt and Tim’s university training is about practical problem solving, which is exactly what we want as each of our clients receive tailored solutions to meet their business needs.”
