Katie Bagshaw

Technician

I graduated from the course in 2015 with First Class Honors, as well as the best skills to set me up ready to go into Industry.

Since graduating, I’ve been working in Film and TV, as well as in entertainment and events. I’ve done mould making, silicone running, sculpting, costume design, fabrication, construction … in fact, there aren’t many areas that I haven’t worked in. I’m a generalist, and while I love certain aspects of this career, I’m truly a jack of all trades that’s happy to get stuck into whatever project I’ve faced with.

Because of this, I decided to take a step back from busy workshops and onset life, to come back to the university and pass on all that knowledge to the next generation.

I have a big passion for learning and expanding my skill set, and spend a lot of my time helping the students get the same drive by working one-to-one with them, going through processes and techniques, and helping them understand the materials they’re working with.’
