During this time, she studied additionally to allow her to also work as a SCPHN School Nurse.

Alex has always had an interest in teaching and learning and as a result took on the role of Practice Education Facilitator for the 0-19’s service in 2020. It was this that led her into a career in academia. She joined The University of Bolton in January 2022 and has taught on both nursing and midwifery courses.
