Amanda Peplow

Lecturer

Amanda is a Registered Adult Nurse and qualified in 2003. Amanda has worked in a variety of settings both in the UK and overseas, including surgical wards and community practice. The main part of Amanda’s career has been in the Operating Department where she specialised as a Scrub Practitioner, completing studies in Advanced Scrub Practice enabling her to undertake the role of a Surgical First Assistant.

Amanda went on to work in the role of Clinical Skill Facilitator to support the theatre team with their learning and development needs.

Amanda joined the University in September 2023 as a lecturer on the BSc (hons) Operating Department Practice programme.

Having started her Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and Professional Practice in her previous role, Amanda is looking forward to continuing her studies with the University of Bolton.
