Dr Rameez Asif

Rameez Asif was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He received the B.Eng. degree in electronics and computer engineering from the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, USA, in 2010, and the M.Sc. degree (Hons.) in electrical and electronics engineering and the Ph.D. degree in RF and microwave engineering from the University of Bradford, Bradford, U.K., in 2012 and 2018, respectively.

He is currently a lecturer in Electrical and Electronic engineering at The University of Bolton. In his last role, he served as a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant with the Future Ubiquitous Networks (FUN) Research Group, Arris, University of Bradford, UK.
He has been a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) since 2000. He owns a patent for the radiation shield and has held this since 2018. The shield is used to diminish penetrations of the electromagnetic waves in the human brain from the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) mobile handsets. He has published several journals and conference papers.

His main research interests are machine learning and network security, digital signal processing, ray tracing, wireless sensor networks, image processing, meta-materials, and their applications, Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO), wireless sensor networks, electrically small antennas, and radio frequency identification (RFID).

Dr. Asif has been a Full Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering since 2011. He is also the Technical Editor of the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), future Internet journal, and serves as a reviewer for the several IEEE TRANSACTION journals.
