University of Bolton, why we are the right choice
Location - Bolton, Greater Manchester
Scott has worked at the University of Bolton (UoB) since 2019 when he joined the education team as Lecturer in Education and Teacher Education. From 2022 onwards, Scott became a Senior Lecturer, now acting as Programme Leader for the Master's in Education pathways at the University.
Before moving to the University of Bolton, Scott worked at Runshaw College for 11 years during which time he taught on academic levels 1 to 7 inclusive.
An experienced educator, Scott has been a programme leader for sports science (BSc), sport coaching (BA), counselling (CPCAB) and more recently, initial teacher education (PGCE) provisions.
Scott currently acts as a peer reviewer for the following three academic journals: Journal of Reflective Practice: International & Multidisciplinary Perspectives, the Journal of Further and Higher Education, and also for the British Journal of Educational Studies.
Research interests include reflective practice, teacher noticing, student development, technology enhanced learning, and teaching, learning and assessment.
