Mike Bayliss

Associate Lecturer

Mike is a Registered General Nurse and qualified in 2004. He holds a DipHE in Adult Nursing. He has 9 years’ experience as a Clinical Site Manager at a general hospital being responsible for safe staffing across the trust and patient flow. Previously a Charge Nurse in the Medical Assessment Unit and worked in a medical and surgical ward as a qualified nurse. Mike has worked with agencies and served 2 years in a nursing home looking after people with Dementia.

Mike has been based at the Satellite Centre for Nursing in North Devon since joining the University in 2023. He has mainly taught on the BSC programme but has been involved in recruitment and now delivers a module to our trainees.
He is currently completing a Dip CPD in teaching and supporting in HE and is going on to complete his PG Cert later on in the year.
