Sarah Holt

Lecturer

Sarah started her health and social care career in 2000, when she qualified as a midwife at Fairfield general hospital, she then went on to secure a post at Bolton Foundation trust where she worked as a midwife for twenty years. During this time, Sarah worked within senior roles such as ward manager, delivery suite coordinator, maternity bleep holder and more recently a training facilitator for staff. These roles within the NHS ignited Sarah’s passion within leadership and management and led to Sarah returning the University in 2017 where she studied on the first cohort offered by the University of Bolton of the BSc (Hons) Chartered managerial degree, for which she achieved a first-class honor.

In 2022 Sarah became a member of academic staff at the University when she was appointed as a Lecturer for Nursing, she then moved on to teach within the midwifery programme and currently works within Leadership Programmes (level 6 and 7) within the school of Nursing and Midwifery.

Sarah is now due to commence her Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Supporting Learning in Professional and Higher Education and will then study within one of our masters’ programmes with a view to becoming a senior fellow and undertaking a Professional Doctorate in the near future.
