Pol Nomikos

Lecturer

Pol has HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist. He graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2014 from the department of Physiotherapy in central Greece. Following the graduation, he worked in MSK and neurological physiotherapy. The basis and values of his educational and career achievements are significantly associated with his MSc, experience in advanced physiotherapy, which he completed at the University of Salford. There, he was involved in a group project investigating the overall reliability of Action Research Arm Test (ARAT) in chronic stroke patients. He completed his doctoral degree at the University of Nottingham. This was a mixed methods study, focusing on the development and evaluation of a nurse-led pharmacological and non-pharmacological package of care (a behavioral complex intervention) for knee pain due to Osteoarthritis.

Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms:
Complex interventions, cohort randomised controlled trials, and studies that involve aspects of feasibility, acceptability, reliability and validity.

Teaching specialisms;
Anatomy, research, profession of physiotherapy, injury and pathology
