You can also review our advertising policy.
Once your vacancy has been approved, the team will advertise the role and promote the opportunity to all relevant students and graduates. If you want to chat to us about more unique selection processes then please do get in touch. For example, we offer a managed vacancy service where we will carry out shortlisting or we could arrange assessment days on campus for you.
We encourage employers to visit the University and to network with our students and staff. Networking is an important skill for any student to develop, and having the chance to hear about your organisation, and to speak to your employees helps to raise our student's aspirations and it provides them with real and honest accounts of what it is like to work in your sector. It also provides the opportunity for you to meet our students directly and scope out our talent. Career Fairs: We host our main Careers Fair in the first semester (around mid-November). This event is about providing our students with advice and guidance about careers in different sectors and is open to all students.
"The students were well prepared with specific questions which felt far more valuable for the hour than a full day at a standard careers fair which can be an unknown. We are often extremely busy at University careers events but sometimes these conversations aren't always with actual potential candidates, so yesterday’s session felt like a far more quality conversation."
Lancashire Police
"I was impressed with the passion the students had and it felt they were utilising the chance to ask questions, which were all really sensible. I do think that speaking to someone in a job is helpful as it brings to life why you are studying what you are doing."
Senior Forensic Psychologist from HM Prison Service
