University of Bolton, why we are the right choice
Location - Bolton, Greater Manchester
As valued members of the University of Bolton family, students progressing from our partners at Bolton College, University Collegiate School (UCS), and Alliance Learning are eligible for the Group Progression Scholarship. The Group Progression Scholarship will support students on their journey to higher education at the University of Bolton, and increase accessibility to a range of exciting undergraduate courses and career prospects thereafter. These scholarships can be gained simply through progression from the stated partners this 2024/25 academic year.
Amount
The scholarship is worth £500 in total and is paid via BACs in the first year of study only. The instalment will be paid upon successfully completing the full enrolment process.
Eligibility
In order to qualify for the Scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
• Students must be commencing a full-time three or four-year undergraduate programme in the academic year 2024/25 i.e., between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025.
• Students must be progressing directly onto an eligible full-time undergraduate course, as described above, from one of the previously mentioned partner organisations, having completed their FE qualification(s) in academic year 2023/24.
• Students must have declared one of the Group partner organisations as their previous place of study at point of application, or subsequently provide evidence of this within the first year of their Undergraduate course.
• The award is only available for courses based at the University of Bolton. Students studying with off campus partners are not eligible.
• To be eligible for this award you must be paying full tuition fees either through self-funding, Student Finance, third party sponsorship or a combination of these options.
• Students undertaking apprenticeship courses will not be eligible to receive this award.
• Students gaining this scholarship are not eligible to apply for any additional University of Bolton scholarships.
Payment of the Scholarship
The Scholarship will be paid in one instalment. Payment will be made to a nominated bank account via BACs. The instalment will be paid upon successfully completing the full enrolment process
Terms and Conditions
• Payments will be permanently terminated if the student withdraws, transfers to another institution, fails their programme of study, or interrupts or suspends their studies./span>
• Payments are subject to successful enrolment and subsequent evidence of attending scheduled classes obtained from the University’s attendance records.
• Payment of the award is entirely at the discretion of the university
