Location - Bolton, Greater Manchester
In 1996 Tracey became a registered nurse and entered part 15 of the professional register. Following registration, Tracey worked in a variety of clinical posts from Staff Nurse, Ward Sister and also worked in the capacity of Ward Manager. During this time, she worked predominantly within the acute surgical directorate dealing with both elective, trauma and emergency care.
Tracey worked within education for 13 years in a variety of posts as a Clinical Educator and has also worked as a Pre - Registration Clinical Educator supporting students within their clinical practice before joining the Pre-Registration team at The University of Bolton in October 2018 as a Lecturer in nursing.
Tracey is currently working as a module lead for one of the 9 modules within the Pre - Registration curriculum and was involved in developing the content and design for this module within the new curriculum. Other roles have included personal tutoring and academic assessor within the Pre- Registration faculty.
Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms:
Exploring compassion fatigue as a consequence of caring within the student population in nursing.
Preparedness of learners in cultural end of life care.
Teaching specialisms:
"Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. "
Publications and Research:
Current research project includes a cross sectional study which explores the preparedness of learners in cultural end of life care.
