The impression a teacher makes in their classroom can greatly influence the next generation. This is why at the University of Bolton; we aim to inspire and nurture our Education and Teacher Training students.
Our Education courses are listed amongst the UK’s top ten for teaching quality, and as one of the largest providers of teacher education in the UK, we are dedicated to maintaining small class sizes, with each student receiving additional guidance from their own personal tutor.
Students can choose from a wide range of courses on offer, including undergraduate degrees, professional development for teachers, vocationally focused CPD programs, Masters and Doctorate programs.
We focus on a ‘Teaching-Intensive, Research-Informed' approach, which has earned us a world-class grading in our educational research and Pedagogy & Education Research Centre in the latest Research Excellence Framework. It’s also thanks to our team of professionally experienced and academic staff that we have received esteemed recognition for our education and teacher training.
For the duration of student’s studies, we strive to provide a challenging and supportive space for their development as they move forward in their careers as education professionals. We also provide career advice for all our students, with 90% going on to find employment as teachers and some even receiving job offers before they graduate.
