William Haddock

Computing DTS Apprenticeship Lead and Lecturer in Networking and Security

William has carried out a diverse range of duties within his career in the British Army with duties associated Telecommunication Technician.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in IT and various vendor qualifications with Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL and others.

He was employed as a college lecturer for 17 years specializing in networks and network administration and was the CompTIA, Cisco and Microsoft academies lead. William was lead lecturer, delivering the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) curriculum, Microsoft MCA Server program which provides career-oriented coverage of introductory and advanced networking and network administration skills, including routing, switching and troubleshooting, whilst also providing opportunities for hands-on practical experience and soft-skills development.

As an associate lecturer for the Open University, he supports remote students with their studies in the field of networking and security.

He joined the University of Bolton as Computing DTS apprenticeship lead in April 2019 and works closely with both local businesses and those further afield in supporting companies and apprentices and providing quality delivery for the DTS apprentices.
