University of Bolton, why we are the right choice
Location - Bolton, Greater Manchester
Whether you are a large or small employer, we can support you through the Apprenticeship process. We will provide support and guidance on the initial set up; working together to establish the contract, checking eligibility requirements for Apprentices, talking through the expectations you have about what an Apprenticeship will deliver and how we can work alongside your business.
Speak to usThe set up process begins with the completion of the Request Form. From this, a contract agreement will be established and you will be sent a Health and Safety Audit as a requirement for the Apprenticeship to begin. You will create an account on the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS). Depending on whether you are a Levy or Non-Levy Business, this will affect how you join this system.
Eligibility checks will be undertaken at the interview stage with your support, to ensure that all Apprentices have the required Maths and English and any Level 3 qualifications, if necessary, for their chosen Degree Apprenticeship.
Sign up must be completed with your Apprentice prior to their first day of learning at the University. It is important that your point of contact/learner mentor is available, understands the commitment they are making to assist in the success of the Apprentice, and completes the sign-up paperwork alongside the Apprentice.
Once your DAS account (Digital Apprenticeship Service) has been verified, all compulsory contractual and sign up documents have been completed and all relevant checks have been made to confirm eligibility, the learning and working journey begins for your Apprentice. We will complete 12 weekly reviews with the Apprentice, to ensure integration between on and off-the-job learning, provide feedback and to discuss any issues, with your involvement.
