Dr Rasheed Bello is a lecturer in business management at Greater Manchester Business School (GMBS) where he teaches on a range of business courses and supervises dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, serves as module leader, and supervises PhD students among other responsibilities.
A professional with over twenty-five (25) years of teaching and research experience, Rasheed holds a BSc in Mathematics, an MSc in Statistics, an MSc in Economics, and a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). In addition, he holds professional qualifications in Business Management, Human Resources & Marketing. His Doctorate research on Risk Management Practices in the Banking Industry has contributed to existing knowledge on risk management practices. He is a qualified external examiner and fellow of the Advance HE (FHEA), and has published articles in the area of risk return in the stock market, and risk management practices in the banking sector in high-rated international journals.
Prior to joining The University of Bolton, Dr Rasheed was a Lecturer in Business at the Global Banking School (GBS), a Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, Assistant Professor of Mathematics & Economics / Course Leader at Richmond International Academic Soccer Academy (RAISA) Leeds Campus - Richmond American International University, and part-time lecturer at QAHE Manchester campus. He has also been a Lecturer at various colleges in the United Kingdom.
Dr Rasheed also has industry experience, having worked at different councils within Greater Manchester (UK) and in the banking industry for many years. He has worked and lived in Nigeria and United Kingdom, and always draws on his international knowledge and experience to benefit his learners, and when interacting with other stakeholders.
Research Interests and Subject Specialisms:
Business Management, Economics, Financial Mathematics, Strategic Management, Leadership Management, Organisational Behaviour, and Quantitative Research Methods, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
