Psychology programmes have been awarded first place in the North West for teaching quality in a row by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023. We are extremely student-focused with great emphasis placed on employability. Therefore, you may be given the opportunity to participate in work experience initiatives in your specialist field.

We host industry experts for visiting lectures and our industrial advisory board works closely with our academic staff to develop relevant curricula aligned with market demands in employability. These connections can provide placement opportunities for our students, as well as research collaborations and consultancy opportunities.

The School hosts the Centre of Pedagogy which runs a series of successful events every year bringing a range of speakers to inform and inspire staff, students and visitors.
