The National Student Survey (NSS) preliminary results reveal that the university came top in Greater Manchester not just in one, but in all ‘taught’ categories:
* Teaching on my course
* Learning Opportunities
* Assessment and Feedback
* Academic Support
* Organisation and Management
* Learning Resources
* Learning Community
* Student Voice
* Students’ Union
* Overall Satisfaction
The University scored higher than any other university in Greater Manchester in overall student satisfaction.
It is the sixth year running that the University of Bolton has been top in Greater Manchester in the NSS Survey.
Professor George E Holmes DL, President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, said he was absolutely delighted with the results.
He said: “We are delighted that in the only official Government survey of university performance we have retained our position as the number one university in Greater Manchester for students’ satisfaction with teaching.
“In part due to our sector leading on-campus measures during the pandemic, we have been able to provide the best possible learning experience for our students.”
Professor Holmes added: “Student satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do.
"Our students and staff have had to work so hard over the past two years in unprecedented circumstances during the pandemic and so it makes being placed first in Greater Manchester an even more significant achievement.
“We continue to be focused on making our students feel welcome, valued and part of a friendly learning atmosphere.”
The NSS is managed by the Office for Students (OfS) on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies and is the only official league table data published.
