Atinuke Dawodu BA (Hons), PGCE, MSc, GMBPsS) has a diverse work portfolio covering various industries including education, the arts, health and retail.
Atinuke has worked in the education sector for over 17 years in London and the Northwest. She has a wealth of teaching experience with both young and mature students, delivering in a variety of settings including universities, colleges, community centres and in the workplace.
Atinuke graduated from Edge Hill University in 2017 with a MSc in Psychology. In addition, she has expertise in both research and teaching at Edge Hill. Working as a research assistant within the Research Centre for Arts and Wellbeing, Atinuke gained experience working on projects around the arts, health and psychotherapy. In addition, she also worked as an Associate Tutor within the Faculty of Education and The Language Centre.
Having also achieved a PGCE in Further Education, Atinuke’s academic background includes teaching psychology and English in colleges. She has also worked in several roles throughout her education career including: Curriculum Manager, Initial Assessment Coordinator, lecturer and personal tutor.
Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms:
Atinuke’s interests lie in Work Psychology and Social Psychology. Her research interests include health and wellbeing in the workplace; human behaviour in the workplace; the impact of work practices on wellbeing (e.g. work – life balance); the impact of group dynamics / personality on mental health, wellbeing and performance.
Teaching specialisms:
Atinuke teaches on a range of undergraduate modules but has a particular interest in Psychological Wellbeing in the Workplace, Social & Critical Psychology – Attitudes, Social Influence and Group behaviour.
