Development, Production, Distribution
There are multiple stages to learn when completing a filmmaking bachelor’s degree. However, you will find it is condensed into three main components:
· Development
· Production
· Distribution
To begin, any film production must have a story to entice people into watching the film. After all, no one wants to sit through a two-hour film with no purpose. Right? Essentially, the entire multi-billion dollar filmmaking industry is built on the human desire to experience, tell and visualise stories through film. The establishment of an enticing story ultimately then makes the film production stage easier. This is because the first stage of production-related to scriptwriting and finding shooting locations. Production is the most exciting part; you begin to bring the story to life. This then leads into the post-production stage; editing and sound-mixing to put the finishing touches on the production. Only then does the film reach the distribution stage. Releasing trailers, creating advertisements, and promoting your film in the public eye!
