Course Overview

This Level 7 Advanced Diploma of CPD in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults is ideal for professionals working with vulnerable adults, particularly those working in the community, health and social care settings and the independent or voluntary sectors. Covering topics such as the signs and explanations of abuse, including neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse and domestic abuse, we'll support you in developing an up-to-date, in-depth knowledge and critical understanding of safeguarding, abuse as a public health issue and best anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practice. We'll discuss how to identify and analyse indications and signs of abuse, the ethical issues related to safeguarding and support you to think about how to recognise and respond to abuse. As well as exploring current policy and legal considerations, we'll encourage you to focus on the importance of inter-professional working and the multi-agency approach.
